Bhutan

Bhutan is traditionally rich & majestically spiritual land. For people like me who are in the continuous search of peace & solace this place is the paradise. Spiritually much ahead than us, this land is perfect escape from throat cutting competition of the corporate world. It’s amazing to see to how Bhutan has maintained that fine line between the traditional values & modern culture. During my stay in Bhutan I joined a Buddhist monastery where I learned the art of creating balance your professional & personal life. The greatest lesson for life. Special thanks to my friend Riachel & Antilog Vacations.

Bhutan is perfect amalgamation of modernity & traditional values. It was interesting to see how people are still attached to their Buddhist values & practice them in their real life. During my visit the Tango Goemba, a famous religious site since 12th century, our guide told us that it is the highest centre of Buddhist learning in the country & almost every religious leader has completed the 9-year program here. It is currently the home of an 11 year old boy believed to be the seventh reincarnation of the fourth ruler of Bhutan. You all must visit this place.

The trip to Bhutan through Antilog Vacations was a great one. The only miss was the trip to Ripung Dzong in Paro. It was way too far & very disappointing when we got there. Hotel was run down & all but closed. If we had known that ahead of time we would not have gone. Our travel agent Weni was great to work with. She made a lot of revisions for us. Everything was punctual & well planned. We would like to take another tour with them.

Rinpung Dzong was a great captivating structure for me from the wide collection of Bhutan memories. It is a famous landmark of Paro where I captured some clicks of beautiful large religious paintings, prayer wheels & spacious yard. I got such opportunity with the dedicated services of Antilog
A Big five to you guys!!

We spent 8 wonderful days in Bhutan. It was our first trip to the country, so from the beginning we were looking for an expert in the region. Antilog Vacations proved a boon in this regard. From the planning stages of the trip, our agent helped us a lot trying to accommodate all our needs & to please all our desires. They adjusted it to our budget, they understood our needs & the way we travel & all together made it a wonderful experience. I won’t hesitate to put a good word for our agent & her colleagues.

Professional integration & transparency is their USP. Antilog vacation you are the dark horse of this field & will go long way.

Our trip to Bhutan with Antilog Vacations was incredible. We were met by a representative at each place we visited & were taken to our hotel.....from hotel to the airport, etc. We did want to see as much as we could, within reason & thus moved around a lot. The tour guide suggested several unusual sites & experiences, such as taking a cooking class, which enhanced our trip. Our itinerary was supported by excellent guides & drivers. We are very much satisfied with Antilog Vacations’ tour services.

We had two weeks holiday in our college & we didn’t want to spend all our holidays sitting idly at home. So we were looking for the holiday packages at very reasonable rates that do not cost us much. And our search ended at Antilog vacations. We instantly booked Bhutan packages. We went to Paro , Punakha, Thimpu & Bumthang . All cities have their own charm. Thimpu is main city of Bhutan that encapsulates the old & modern glory & is the commercial centre of the Bhutan with numerous restaurants, cafes & hotels. Paru is home to many new & old monasteries. Over all an interesting place.

It was an amazing view of Taktsang Monastery or can say Tiger’s Nest. In this recent chance, I didn’t get any single point of disappointment with the services of Antilog. The place was at a pretty steep height so I preferred horse ride to way up. Many times, I stopped to take pictures.. No one keeps his eyes off at this gorgeous location.
Good experience!!

With the spiritual importance, I’ve collected the knowledge about multicultural influence of the place. With our knowledgeable tour guide from ‘Antilog Vacations’ we fully explore the place.

Overall, it was a fabulous experience for my husband & I. Although many of the hotel amenities in Timphu were out-dated & frankly not working, the service was good & most of all the guides were very good & knowledgeable. Antilog Vacations deserves an ovation for their almost flawless arrangements. Their rates are reasonable & the agents make sure you are comfortable during the trip, which is the best part. You can trust them, we vouch!

Chele La Pass was a great experience for me where I enjoyed a cycling tour for the half way up. At the steep inclination, I felt small difficulty to maintain my pace. It might be risky with the reduced oxygen effect, but the pre-instructions by Antilog representative helped me a lot..

Overall, it was a balanced journey with Antilog services!!

Bhutan is not varied in term of landscape, culture & tradition but also in term of food. As you roam from one place to other, you will see the changes in their food. Every Bhutanese state has its own culinary specialty but one thing that is common among all is use of spices & Chilie. Ema Datshi is the national dish of Bhutan, a spicy mix of chilies & the delicious local cheese known as Datshi. Thupka & momos are other specialties.

Antilog Vacations put together a good program for us in Bhutan. Their representative called several times during our trip to check on our satisfaction. One activity, however, did not work out, apparently due to changes made by local Bhutanese fair organizers, but AV took pains to provide some alternatives later in our trip. In general, they were very good. The fortress at Punakha was impressive just as was the Tiger's Nest; the "hot stone bath" was also a fascinating experience. The country itself, particularly its landscapes & architecture, is fascinating. A must visit trip, I must say

We had some Fantabulastic time in Bhutan. We were nine friends & had some adrenaline rushing adventure there. Bhutan is not just about religious & nature travel it is big centre of adventure tourism. The high & low land of the Bhutan makes it the most challenging hiking trek. Naturally blessed with forest, waterfalls & rivers, it’s interesting to drive up & down the valley among these natural wonders. My message for adventure lovers, go guys & let your cocoon get ripped off. Well Done! Antilog Vacations

The Panache & beauty of the Bhutan is difficult to put into the words for a bad writer like me but believe me you will be amazed to see the breath taking views of the landscapes & architect of their monasteries & building. The fine art with which the carving is impaled on the wood & stone is definitely the work of the masters. The precision with which these carving are done is hard to find anywhere in the world.

Bhutan is known for its life style too & amazed to learn about the Gross National Happiness concept as an alternative to GDP. During my travel I visited Thimpu , Paro ,Punakha & few more places & talked to many youths who spoke very good English & was flabbergasted to see how concerned they were about their nation , environment , tradition & cultural values. Each stop we took in Bhutan had a special touch to it whether it was our room or the tours we had planned. We also requested to see sights on our honeymoon, but also have days to relax & explore on our own. The whole trip was planned specifically to this request as we never felt exhausted or bored. In between transfers we also never felt like we were rushed to make the next one or bored waiting around. It was simply the best flow of time, sightseeing & relaxing. Our friends who have gone to Bhutan for their honeymoon had a few stories about not having train tickets validated or being ripped off by the transfers that they planned on their own & that is a shame that they have that memory. I can simply say that we had zero negative memories from anything planned on this trip. Thankyou Antilog Vacations.

Bhutan is something we always wanted to visit. First, we would try to stay longer. Second, we would not have a much-planned activity before noon. It was harder than we thought to adjust to the time zone, & so even though we started our days at 9 or 9:30, we often were a bit tired.

Taj. Definitely it’s a great work of the Mughal dynasty. I was mesmerized by its beauty. But what I noticed there was that being a city having one of the 7 wonders of the world, it’s not maintained well. People are more busy regarding their own business. All the roads around the Taj are dirty and no one, I think, is conscious about that.

It was past noon when we reached Agra and the Taj. There’s a lot written about visiting Taj on a full moon night. We were the ones to visit it in peak hot season in blazing sunlight!!! As soon as you enter through the main entrance it’s a feast to the eyes.

The city itself is not very clean, but the BHU campus is an exception and is kept impeccably clean. Varanasi is also known as “Kashi” and its mention is found even in some Vedic literature and Puranas . The word “kashi” is mentioned in some Vedic chanting and other Mantras . So we can imagine its and ancient antiquity.

The most enduring monument to love, built by the fifth Mughal emperor as the final resting place for beloved Mumtaj Mahal is at threat these days. The monument after saving its life from deadly clutches of Taj Corridor , countless factories in its vicinity is ultimately falling to the might of world power.

Mika Tan , Hamilton Posted on: 07 Jan 2015

When you visit Agra, do not fail to see Taj mahal in "chandni raath". You can see Taj mahal at the night only 2 days before full moon day, on the full moon day and 2 days after full moon day. The rest of the time it is closed for night viewing. They have limited tickets on sale, so you have to book one day in advance or get hold of a good travel agent who can do that for you. We had Antilog-the best bet fr India

Its amazing to see people living there surrounded by water with lots of coconut trees. Munnar, Thekkedi hill stations are the best it gives you a feeling like staying in heaven.
