Visit Santos Juanes Church and explore this beautiful church which has suffered 3 devastating fires. After each fire, Church was reconstructed which contribute to its interesting blend of architectural styles, from a Gothic nave to Baroque sculptures. Its exterior is as magnificent as its interior. If you entered from the Plaza del Mercado, you will see the sculpture of the virgin of the rosary. Marvel at the clock tower, adorned on either side by the two Saint Johns the Baptist, and John the Apostle, Don’t forget to see the Bird of St. Joan. The large, blind eye of Saint Joan on the back side of the church is another major feature.
As you step inside the Church, admire the frescoes and the painting made by the artist Antonio Palomino. Marvel at the larger-than-life statues that represent twelve tribes of Israel. On the right-hand side of the church, you can see the secondary chapel which contains two impressive statues.
