Once a stadium, Piazza Navona is a square always abuzz with people. Home to the beautiful Baroque churches and fountains, cafes and shops, it is quite popular among tourist and locals. You will see the famous Gian Lorenzo Bernini's famous Fountain of the four Rivers, with an Egyptian obelisk sitting atop the sculpture at the center of the Piazza Navona. Admire two other smaller fountains, one at each end of the piazza, both by Giacomo della Porta. Visit the church of Sant' Agnese in Agone and glance at the family palace of Pope Innocent X, the Palazzo Pamphili. There is a statue known as the “speaking statue” nearby it.
