Visit Trincomalee War cemetery dedicated to the soldiers of the British Empire who died during the World War II. Formerly, known as Pitakande Military Cemetery, it is maintained by the Sri Lankan Ministry of Defense on behalf of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.

DESCRIPTION

Trincomalee British War Cemetery is a place worth exploring. Here you can explore the grave of British soldiers who were killed or died during the World War II. Located around 6 km to the north of Trincomalee, it is one of the six Commonwealth war cemeteries in Sri Lanka maintained by the Sri Lankan Ministry of Defense on behalf of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
