Tucked in the middle of the island nation of Sri Lanka, the Horton Plains National Park is home to an extensive variety of flora and fauna. Spread across over 3,169 hectares, it covers a wild stretch of bleak, high-altitude grassland bounded at its southern edge by the dramatically plunging cliffs and lowlands. You can explore the park by jeep or by foot.

Horton Plains National Park introduces you to the natural side of Sri Lanka. Home to around 57 (species of flora, 24 species of mammal and 87 species, it is a place worth visiting. You can explore it by jeep or on foot. Spot elk, deer, giant squirrel, wild boar, wild hare, porcupine, leopard and birds during your visit. The low and highland plains of the Horton Plains National Park feature many interesting attractions such as Bakers Falls, Chimney Pool and the famous World’s End that offers the amazing view of the tea estates.
