Bel Air, Mahé
The Bel Air Cemetery was the first official burial ground to be opened on Mahe Island by the French. Here you will see many important milestones, vaults, shrines tombs of many eminent personalities. The graves of pirate Jean- Francois Hodoul and Pierre-Louis Poiret, son of Louise XVI are must watch.
Counted among the oldest historic site in Seychelles, The Bel Air Cemetery was opened in the late 1780's by the settlers who created the L’Etablissement du Roi on Mahé Island in 1778. This oldest historic site contain the remains of some of the islands’ most famous personalities such as corsair Jean-Francois Hodoul and the nine feet tall Charles Drorthee Savy, poisoned at the age of 14 by neighbors, fearful of his height. Pierre-Louise Poiret who claimed to be the son of Louise XVI is also buried here. You will also find the graves of the victims of the smallpox epidemic of 1883 here. At the entrance, you will see the words ‘’Belle pensee d’un commandant bienaisant” engraved on a slab.
Around 10:00 am after having your morning breakfast, move from your hotel. We offer the proper pick-up and drop-off facility up to your scheduled destination. Golden triangle was helpful for us to visit three different destinations in three states of India with cultural differences. It was my honeymoon trip & we booked it from Antilog vacations. We enjoyed rickshaw ride in Delhi & visited Chandni Chowk, Red fort, Jama Masjid & Qutub Minar. Taj Mahal visit was a wonderful Honeymoon gift for both of us, we spent half of our day at Taj Mahal. We were surprised by flower decoration & Honeymoon cake with royal treatment at Jaipur.

We organized a family trip for a week; it was a tour of Delhi Agra & Jaipur. This was a leisure trip for the elders but at the same time educational trip for the Children. At Delhi we visited Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, India Gate, Red fort & Akshardham Temple. Then we went to Agra there we visited Agra fort & Taj Mahal. On the way to Jaipur we also visited Fatehpur Sikari. Our last two days of the tour were in Jaipur, there we visited hawa mahal. Pink city, Jal Mahal & Amer fort. This tour was the result of Antilog Vacations tour planning. Thanks to Antilog for such a wonderful trip.
