Overview

A fine example of Pisan Romanesque architecture, Pisa Duomo is a striped marble cathedral, dated back to 1064. An architectural marvel, it features a galleried exterior topped with a small dome. The five naves inside the building create a sea of the pillar rising to a golden coffered ceiling. Don't forget to admire the mosaic by Cimabue surrounding the altar and the ornately carved pulpit by Giovanni Pisano.
