Overview

In this tour, you will explore the Trongsa Dzong. It is the largest dzong fortress in Bhutan, located in Trongsa, in the center of the country. Created on a spur facing the gorge of the Mangde River, a temple was first built in 1543 by the Drukpa lama, Ngagi Wangchuk son of Ngawang Chhojey. Trongsa Dzong, the magnificent dzong at a beautiful location, is an important executive building, providing the headquarters of the government of Trongsa District.
