Overview

Hajj Ahmed was a great ruler of Constantine, Algeria and he had performed several progressive work in his powerful days. Similarly, Palace of Ahmed Bay is one of his wonderful architectural examples. This white walled building was beautifully decorated with French tiles in the surroundings of olive and orange tree gardens. But, unfortunately, it was his short-lived home due to French Army attack and even the palace remained close for 25 years after independence. But, there is time-to-time restoration for its historic significance.
