This tour takes you to the ancient time. Once served as a hiding place for Shah Jahan, this historical Palace has played a key role in formulating the Indian history. Admire the Gul Mahal- the major highlight of this Palace, constructed in the Islamic style of architecture. Located on the southern island of Lake Pichola, Jag Mandir Palace is a three storey structure made of yellow sandstone and marble. Built by Maharana Karan Singh, this Palace served as a hiding for Shah Jahan when he revolted against his father.
Gul Mahal is the major attraction of this Palace and is built in the Islamic style of architecture. Walk through the hall and see the amazing interiors decorated with the Muslim Crescent. There is a mosque in the complex where Shah Jahan performed Salat. The courtyard decked with white and black marvel tiles is an another major attraction of the Palace.
Bara Patharon ka Mahal, Kunwar Pada ka Mahal and the Zenana Mahal are also worth exploring.
