Overview

In this tour, you will explore the Ranthambore Fort. This fort is built during the 8th century by the Chauhans ruler. This fort was attacked by a number of great powers at various point of time in history. A famous person among these was Qutub-ud-din, Allaudin Khilji , Feroz Tughlaq and Bahadur Shah of Gujarat. Lastly, the fort was taken by the Mughals who used it as a staying place and then as a prison fort. In the 19th century, the fort was returned back to the Maharaja of Jaipur and it persisted with them till the time India got independence in the year 1947.
