Visit very beautiful Kaylana Lake and admire the spectacular views of the sunset. Spot various species of birds in the gardens surrounding the lake. Take a stroll along the Lake or enjoy a boat ride. You can also visit the Takhat Sagar, another part of Lake around 10 Km away from Jodhpur City.

Located 8 Km to the west of Jodhpur on the Jaiselmer road, Kaylana Lake is an ideal picnic spot. Spread across over 84 square Km, it offers an amazing and panoramic views of the sunset. You can spot variant species of birds in the garden known as Pratap Sagar surrounded the Lake. Evening is actually the best time to visit this lake. The sky presents such a spectacular colors combination that will compel you to capture it in your camera. Once this areas was full of wild bears, serving as a hunting place for the royal members. The another part of Lake is known as Takhat Sagar, located around 10 km away from Jodhpur city and named after the King Takhat Singh who ruled Jodhpur during the 19th century. There is also a Dak Bungalow of PHED, the Irrigation department near the Lake. You enjoy boating here but this lake is not suitable for swimming.
