Bay Island Driftwood Museum is quite different from other museum. It exhibits a huge collection of drift wood sculptures collected by proprietor and curator Raji Punnoose who used to gather the wood drifted by the sea water. Root sculptures cleansed, scraped and trimmed into different shapes and forms make an interesting watch out.

It is Kerala’s only special interest destination with huge collection of rare driftwood sculpture. Here you would see the artifacts created and sustained by the sea waves, an uncommon piece of work. Some of these wood pieces and roots were centuries old. Many of these pieces closely resemble birds, animals, reptiles, amphibians and fishes. The Bay Island Museum has registered itself in the Limca Book of Records for the only drift wood museum, displaying objects that have been recovered and collected from the Andaman seas and beaches.
