There are plenty of diving sites; the calm lagoon of Bora Bora is perfect for novices. However, for experienced divers there are more challenging diving site outside the reef.

Sharks

Bora Bora is popular for shark dives. Black-tip reef sharks, lemon sharks, gray sharks, white-tip sharks, and hammerhead sharks can easily be seen in the crystal clear waters of Bora Bora. More than 16 species of sharks are found on this island and you can spot multiple shark species on the same dive.

Manta Rays

This is the only destination in the world where even an amateur diver can safely dive with the gracious manta rays.

Eagle rays, stingrays, bat rays and leopard rays are some other fishes that inhabit the lagoon of Bora Bora.

Humpback whales can be spotted only from August to October.
