Overview

In this tour, you will explore The Nativity of St. John the Baptist Temple. The Church of the Nativity of John the Precursor is among the oldest Russian Orthodox churches in Nizhny Novgorod. You will explore the beautiful architecture of this temple. See one of the most ancient and most venerated Christian feasts. In 1990’s, the church was returned to the Nizhny Novgorod eparchy, and church services recommenced in 1994. In 2004, a decision was taken to restore the building, and the renovation works began. In 2009, the Orthodox lecture hall was opened in the church.
