Overview

In this tour, you will explore the Galata Monastery. This stunning monastery was built by the ruler Petru Schiopu. It was established in 1582. It is a Romanian Orthodox monastery for nuns and it is situated at the top of the Galata Hill. From where you can enjoy the complete view of the different locations of Iasi. It is surrounded by the walls and fitted with a bell tower at the entrance, often acting as a place of defense and sometimes as a royal residence.
