Overview

In this tour, you will explore the Buland Darwaza. It is the most famous construction of Mughal architecture. Its total height is about 54 meters from the ground and created by Ruler Akbar to celebrate his victory over Gujarat in 1601. It is made up of used and traditional building stone of the Mughals- the red sandstone with sculpted marble and granite decorations. See the Persian writings on the main gateways.
